La Petite Parisienne

Bonjour fellow readers and happy 2019! :)

I'm excited to take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane to Paris, the city of lights, where I recently wrapped up my one-year exchange abroad. Born and raised in Paris until the age of 6, my memories of this city are not of famous landmarks like the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, but rather of little details like the hilly cobblestone streets, the lively accordion man playing in the metro, and the smell of freshly baked croissants from the local bakery. Coming back to Paris 15 years later felt like coming full circle, as I rediscovered my childhood and my city.

Paris is one of those cities to be explored on foot. I begin my adventure by sliding on my favorite pair of thigh-high boots, comfortable and trendy.

It wouldn't be winter in France without a noir ensemble. I opted for some wardrobe staples in a Parisian girl's closet: a black turtleneck coupled with a black beret.

Whilst sat perched outside a charming little cafe, I take my Ray-Ban sunnies out to people-watch in disguise. My eyes were drawn to some pieces worn by the modern Parisian girl, including gingham prints and bold colored jackets.

Feeling inspired, I incorporate these trends into my look by pairing my gingham print mini skirt with a vibrant red jacket. The burgundy shade of this faux-fur number is both classic and eye-catching, and it's a perfect outerwear to camouflage any stains from that red wine you may have spilled on yourself earlier! ;)

Et voila! There you have it, my take on the Parisian girl look. What are your favorite Parisian fashion trends? Leave a comment below and let me know!
