Beachin in Bondi

Updated: Sep 17, 2023

Hellooo my dear readers and Happy New Year!

How crazy it is to think that another year has just passed by! These days, I’ve been reflecting on 2017, which has been all about my two university exchanges in Japan and France. As my time abroad slowly comes to an end (sniff sniff) I’m also quite eager to escape the chilly winter in Europe and lay on the sweeping white-sand beaches of Sydney.

One of the places I am most excited to return to when I get back to Sydney has to be Bondi Beach. With its laidback pristine beaches and vibrant community of locals and tourists, Bondi is one of Sydney's most iconic and loved neighbourhood and is where I often find myself chilling on a warm summer's day. As I impatiently wait for my return to this oasis, I decided to present to y'all a look I previously created the last time I was there.

Bondi’s white sand and softly lit aqua sky was the inspiration for the earthy toned palette of my outfit. I slipped on this beautiful beige-coloured crossover number, featuring a plunging v-neckline and cropped silhouette. I paired this with simple, yet elegant seashell-white loose trousers that have a breathable material to welcome the ocean breeze.

Like the simplicity of the shore, I accessorize with a delicate turquoise shell-shaped necklace and put on my chic pair of silver-tinted shades. The mirrored lenses made it a fun thing to play with, reflecting at times the cool graffiti art alongside the beach and at other times the playful seashore of Bondi.

Bags are always a great way to bring a splash of colour into a neutral palette, and if you know me, yellow was my go to colour in 2017, so it was no doubt I opted for my sunny-yellow tote bag. ;)

Finally to avoid any messy hair disaster caused by the strong winds of the seashore, I curled my hair and tucked it into a low ponytail- a simple and very neat do up. :)

Now your girls set for an afternoon by the beach! See you soon Bondi!
